Suspension - Rear: Description

The XR4Ti uses independent rear suspension. Two stamped steel control arms are connected to a crossmember. Progressive rate coil springs are mounted to the control arms, close to the axle center line. Gas pressurized shocks are used. The shocks attach to the body at the top, and to the control arms at the bottom.

A .39" (10 mm) stabilizer bar is used to control body sway. The ends of the bar attach ahead of the axle center line and the center of the bar is attached to the body, rearward of the axle center line.
