Rear Wheel Cylinder: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install "O" ring on wheel cylinder. Position wheel cylinder and install attaching bolts. Tighten attaching bolts to 5-7 ft. lbs. (7-10 N.m).
  2. Connect brake line. Using a screwdriver, push adjuster cam to released position. Install brake drum. Bleed rear brakes.
    NOTE: If pressure bleeder is used, push brake pedal to set self-adjuster cam position. The cam will make a ratcheting sound as it resets.
