Power Brake Unit: Installation
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply a bead of Caulking Cord (D6AZ 19560 A) to rear of booster where it mates to dash panel. Make sure brake pedal bushing is on booster push rod and position booster in vehicle.
- Apply a light coating of lubricant on bushing before installing on booster push rod. From inside vehicle, guide booster into position. A helper may be needed in engine compartment to push booster into position.
- Install retaining clip on booster push rod and install booster attaching nuts. Install sound deadening panel. Connect brake lines at master cylinder. Position vacuum "tree" and install attaching screw.
- Connect vacuum hose to vacuum "tree". Install vacuum check valve in power booster and connect wiring connector at master cylinder cap. Connect pulse damper to fuel rail and position bracket on intake manifold studs.
- Install pulse damper bracket stud nuts. Install engine oil dipstick tube bracket. Connect fuel inlet line to pulse damper. Connect fuel supply line to fuel rail. Bleed hydraulic system, if necessary.
