Cleaning & Inspection
- Wash caliper with clean denatured alcohol and dry with compressed air. DO NOT use petroleum based solvents, kerosene or gasoline to clean brake parts.
- Check the following on caliper assembly: Excessive corrosion or scoring in piston bore (staining should not be confused with corrosion); nicked or damaged seal groove; deep scratches; cracked or broken casting; nicked or damaged dust boot groove; damaged, corroded or plugged bleeder screw.
