Rear Drum Brakes
The rear brake is a standard non-servo, self-energizing design. The brakes are applied by a double-acting wheel cylinder mounted at the top of the backing plate. The primary and secondary brake shoes are attached to backing plate with a hold-down spring, pin and washer. The brake linings are bonded to the brake shoes and contain a carbon compound for extended service life.
