Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

During each vehicle start sequence, when the key is turned to the START or ON position, the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver reads the PATS  key ID code and sends the data to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). If there is a bad transponder in the Integrated Keyhead Transmitter (IKT) key that is in the ignition lock cylinder, or if there was a concern during the programming of the IKT  key, DTC B10D7:05 can set, and the vehicle experiences a PATS  no-start.
