Evaporative Emission Canister: Installation

- Install the EVAP canister assembly, nuts and bolts.
- Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- Attach the wiring harness pin-type retainer to the EVAP canister bracket.
- Connect the fuel vapor tube quick connect coupling to the EVAP canister. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
- Connect the fuel vapor control tube assembly valve quick connect coupling to the fuel vapor vent valve. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
- Connect the fuel vapor hose to the dust separator.
- Connect the EVAP canister vent solenoid electrical connector.
- Connect the fuel vapor vent valve electrical connector.
- Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Carry out the EVAP system leak test. For additional information, refer to Evaporative Emission System Leak Test .
- Carry out the EVAP repair verification drive cycle. For additional information, refer to INTRODUCTION -- HYBRID ENGINES article.
