Normal Operation

The motor electronics (M/E) coolant pump is electrically driven and controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM) through the M/E coolant pump relay. The PCM energizes the M/E coolant pump relay by pulling the M/E coolant pump output to ground when the ignition is in the ON position.
