Normal Operation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Mercury Mariner and 2007 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The driver door lock control switch is grounded on circuit 57 (BK) (shared with the power window switches) and the passenger door lock control switch is grounded on circuit 570 (BK/WH). The door lock control switches are supplied a voltage signal from the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1088 (PK/WH). When either the lock or unlock is pressed, the voltage signal is routed to ground (unlock) or through a resistor and then to ground (lock).
Possible Causes
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 570 (BK/WH) open
- Circuit 1088 (PK/WH) open
- Door lock control switch
