Crankshaft Main Bearing Journal Taper and Out-of-Round

- Measure each of the crankshaft main bearing journal diameters in at least 2 directions at each end of the main bearing journal.
- Refer to ENGINE - 5.4L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS , ENGINE - 6.0L DIESEL -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS or ENGINE - 6.8L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS for appropriate procedure.
- If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to ENGINE - 5.4L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS , ENGINE - 6.0L DIESEL -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS or ENGINE - 6.8L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS for appropriate procedure.
