Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister. For additional information, refer to EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CANISTER .
  2. Remove the EVAP canister vent tube-to-EVAP canister vent solenoid.

  3. Release the EVAP canister vent solenoid from the carbon canister and remove from the EVAP canister assembly.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Apply clean engine oil to the EVAP canister vent solenoid O-ring seal.
