Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT .
  2. Depower the vehicle high voltage electrical system. For additional information, refer to HYBRID SERVICE DISABLE PROCEDURES .
  3. Disconnect the 2 vehicle high voltage electrical system electrical connectors.
    • Detach the vehicle high voltage electrical system electrical connector pin-type retainer from the accessory drive belt tensioner.
  4. NOTE: The accessory drive belt tensioner must be replaced as a complete unit.
  5. Remove the 3 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
