Pinpoint Test B: DTC U2510

NOTE:
When using the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS), the IC
and the TCM
parameters are reset at the same time.
- B1 RESET THE PARAMETERS IN THE TCM AND THE IC
- Connect the scan tool.
- Carry out the parameter reset procedure. Refer to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET .
- Ignition ON.
- Retrieve the DTCs.
- Is DTC U2510 retrieved?
- Yes: VERIFY the TCM calibration is correct for the vehicle by matching the calibration number on On-Line Automotive Service Information System (OASIS) with the As-Built data. If correct, INSTALL a new IC . REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . CARRY OUT the parameter reset procedure on both modules. REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET . PROGRAM the PATS keys into the IC . REFER to INTEGRATED KEYHEAD TRANSMITTER (IKT) KEY PROGRAMMING USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT . CLEAR the DTCs. CYCLE the ignition. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2510 is still present, INSTALL a new TCM . REFER to REMOVAL . CARRY OUT the parameter reset procedure on both modules, REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No: The system is OK. CHECK for any other DTCs. If any other PATS -related DTCs are present, REFER to DTC CHARTS .
