Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING -- ESCAPE, ESCAPE HYBRID, MARINER & MARINER HYBRID .
- Remove the lower support insulator.
- Remove the lower support insulator through bolt.
- To install, tighten to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).
- Remove the lower support insulator bolt and 2 nuts.
- To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
- Remove the lower support insulator.
- Remove the lower support insulator through bolt.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
All-Wheel Drive (AWD) shown, Front Wheel Drive (FWD) similar. Vehicles equipped with AWD
have a damper that is held on by the through bolt.
