TRANSAXLE COOLING - SYMPTOM CHART

Condition	Possible Sources	Action
Motor Electronics Cooling System (MECS) overheating	Clogged MECS radiator or hoses	INSPECT the MECS radiator and hoses for damage or plugging.
	Kinked MECS hoses	INSTALL a new MECS radiator or hoses as necessary.
	MECS leaks	INSPECT the MECS radiator and hoses for leaks. REPAIR or INSTALL new components as necessary.
	MECS pump does not operate	CHECK the MECS pump secondary electrical system. GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
	Radiator cooling fans	CHECK the cooling fans. REFER to INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE MODELS .
	Internal transaxle concerns	REFER to INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE MODELS .
