Engine Support Insulators: Installation

LH engine support insulator
- Install the LH engine support insulator and 2 engine support insulator-to-subframe bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Install the LH engine support bracket and 4 bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Install the RH engine support insulator and 2 engine support insulator-to-subframe bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Using the special tool, lower the engine.
- Install the 4 nuts and the strut tower cross brace.
- Tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).
- Install the RH and LH engine support insulator nuts.
- Tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
- Position the generator and install the B+ terminal and nut.
- Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Connect the generator electrical connector and pin-type retainer.
- Install the 2 lower generator nuts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Install the 2 outer generator bracket bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the radiator sight shield and 6 pin-type retainers.
- Connect the EVAP canister purge valve vapor tube to the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Install the TB. For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - 4.6L (3V) .
- Install the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
- Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .

Make sure the B+ cable is positioned close to the generator when the nut is being tightened.
