Network Communication

The following audio system components communicate via the MS-CAN:
- ACM
- Navigation ACM
- SDARS module
The following messages are utilized by the audio system:

Indicates ignition switch position for power-up/shut-down. |
| Backlight Dimmer | SJB | ACM | Controls the backlight intensity, based on the position of the dimmer switch. |
| Transmission Gear Selected | Instrument cluster | ACM | For navigation system, this signal is used for more accurate navigation tracking. |
| Vehicle Speed | Instrument cluster | ACM | Used by the ACM for the speed-compensated volume function. |
| Wheel Speed Data | Instrument cluster | ACM | For navigation system, this signal is used for more accurate navigation tracking. |
