Pilot Bearing Check

- Inspect the pilot bearing for the following conditions. Install a new pilot bearing as necessary. For additional information, refer to CLUTCH

- Needle rollers for scoring, worn or broken rollers, cracked roller cage
- Inadequate grease
- Discoloration
- Seal leakage
- Misalignment and looseness in the crankshaft
CAUTION:
The pilot bearing is a sealed bearing and must not be immersed in any type of cleaning fluid or damage may occur.
