If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
Verify the headlamps, stoplamps, turn signals and hazard warning flasher lamps are operating correctly. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedures in this article, if necessary.
