Belt-Minder® Deactivating/Activating: Preparation

NOTE: The Belt-Minder® deactivating/activating can also be carried out using the scan tool.
NOTE: The driver and front passenger Belt-Minder® are deactivated/activated independently. When deactivating/activating one seating position, do not buckle the other position as this terminates the process.
  1. Before deactivating/activating the Belt-Minder®, set the parking brake.
  2. Place the transmission selector lever in PARK.
  3. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  4. Unbuckle the driver and front passenger safety belts.
