Removal And Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: New halfshaft oil seals should be installed anytime the halfshafts are removed. Failure to install new halfshafts seals may result in transaxle oil leak(s).
  1. Remove the transaxle drain plug and drain the fluid.
  2. Remove the RH intermediate shaft or LH halfshaft. For additional information, refer to FRONT DRIVE HALFSHAFTS article.
  3. Using the special tools, remove the RH intermediate shaft oil seal or the LH halfshaft oil seal.
