Transaxle Draining and Filling

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid.
- Position a drain pan under the transaxle.
- Install a new washer and the drain plug.
- Tighten to 49 Nm (36 lb-ft).
- Remove the fill plug.
- Fill the transaxle with the recommended fluid.
- Install a new washer and fill plug.
- Tighten to 49 Nm (36 lb-ft).
NOTE:
Prior to removal, clean the area of the fill plug.
NOTE:
Do not overfill the transaxle. This will cause transaxle fluid to be forced out of the case.
