Horn Switch: Installation

  1. Install the service replacement part into the 2 sensor tab slots.
  2. Return the driver air bag cover to its original position.
    WARNING: Failure to do the following may increase the risk of injury in an air bag deployment.
    NOTE: Make sure that both tabs on the sides of the air bag cover are seated into the slots.
    3. NOTE: Make sure that the connector is correctly seated.
  3. Install the horn switch connector onto the retaining tab.
  4. Connect the horn switch connector.
  5. Install the 2 horn switch screws.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  6. Install the driver side air bag module. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM article.
