Pinpoint Test T: The Fog Lamps Are On Continuously

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adaptor(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adaptor(s) may damage the connector.
  1. T1 CHECK THE HEADLAMP SWITCH 
    • Disconnect: Headlamp Switch C205a
    • Do the fog lamps continue to illuminate? 
    1. YES  : Go to  T2.
    2. NO  : INSTALL a new headlamp switch. REFER to Headlamp Switch . TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. T2 CHECK CIRCUIT 478 (TN/OG) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    • Disconnect: CJB C270h
    • Do the fog lamps continue to illuminate? 
    1. YES  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : Go to  T3.
  3. T3 CHECK CIRCUIT 275 (YE) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    • Disconnect: CJB C270a

    • Measure the voltage between the CJB C270a-17, circuit 275 (YE), harness side and ground.
    • Is any voltage present? 
    1. YES  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
