Normal Operation

The traction control indicator informs the driver that a traction control event is taking place, by flashing the indicator. It is also used to indicate a malfunction in the traction control system, or if the traction control has been disabled by the operator, by illuminating the indicator constantly (not flashing). The instrument cluster receives the traction control status from the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module over the communication network.
