Removal and Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the 4 screws and position the RH fender splash shield aside.

  3. Remove the 6 pin-type retainers and the RH splash shield.
  4. Early build vehicles 

  5. Using the pulley bolt, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the coolant pump pulley.

  6. Remove the pin-type retainer, 2 bolts, shield and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  7. Late build vehicles 

  8. Using the hex feature, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the coolant pump pulley.

  9. Remove the 2 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  10. All vehicles 

  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
