Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. If equipped, remove 7 screws and the underbody cover.

  3. Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connector.
  4. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the sensor threads with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.
  5. Using the special tool, remove the catalyst monitor sensor.
    • To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

  6. NOTE: Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the catalyst monitor sensor.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
