Normal Operation

The smart junction box (SJB) sends voltage reference signals to the headlamp switch through circuits 1400 (TN/WH), 1401 (BK/LG), 1402 (RD/WH) and 1399 (DB/WH). At any given time, one voltage reference signal is routed to ground by the headlamp switch, to circuit 1205 (BK), to indicate the headlamp switch position.

The SJB also sends voltage reference signals to the multifunction switch through circuit 1708 (LG/BK) (high beam) and circuit 196 (DB/OG). When the multifunction switch is placed in the HIGH BEAM or FLASH-TO-PASS position, the signal is routed to ground.

When the SJB receives input to turn the low beams on, the SJB provides voltage to the LH low beam through circuit 1338 (WH) and the RH low beam through circuit 1336 (LG/WH).

When the SJB receives input to turn the high beams on, the SJB provides voltage to the high beams through circuit 1337 (VT/YE).
