Removal and Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the 7 pin-type retainers and the RH splash shield.
  3. Freestyle only 

  4. Remove the 3 A/C compressor pulley shield retainers and the shield.
  5. All vehicles 

  6. Using a suitable belt tensioner release tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise and remove the accessory drive belt.
  7. Remove the bolt and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • To install, tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb-ft).
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
