Pinpoint Test C: A Single Power Window Is Inoperative - LH Front

C1 CHECK THE LH FRONT POWER WINDOW DOWN OPERATION
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504a.
- Connect a jumper wire between LH front window control switch C504a-8, circuit 992 (WH/BK) and ground; and between LH front window control switch C504a-7, circuit 991 (TN/LB) and positive battery terminal.

- Does the LH front window move down?
Yes : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH .

No : REMOVE the jumper wires. GO to C2.
C2 CHECK CIRCUIT 991 (TN/LB) AND 992 (WH/BK) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Motor C524.
- Measure the resistance between LH front window motor C524-2, circuit 991 (TN/LB) harness side and LH front window control switch C504a-7, circuit 991 (TN/LB) harness side; and between LH front window motor C524-1, circuit 992 (WH/BK) harness side and LH front window control switch C504A-8, circuit 992 (WH/BK) harness side.

- Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes : GO to C3.

No : REPAIR the circuit(s). TEST the system for normal operation.
C3 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE LH FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR - UP CONDITION
- Connect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504a.
- Key in ON position.
- While pressing the LH front window control switch to the UP position, measure the voltage between LH front window motor C524-1, circuit 992 (WH/BK) harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes : INSTALL a new LH front window motor. REFER to WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR - FRONT DOOR . TEST the system for normal operation.

No : GO to C4.
C4 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE LH FRONT WINDOW MOTOR DOWN CONDITION
- Depress the DOWN position and hold on the LF window control switch.
- While pressing the LH front window control switch to the DOWN position, measure the voltage between LH front power window motor C524-2, circuit 991 (TN/LB) harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes : INSTALL a new LH front window motor. REFER to WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR - FRONT DOOR . TEST the system for normal operation.

No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
