Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Mariner and 2006 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When the smart junction box (SJB) detects the multifunction switch in the headlamps ON and in the LOW BEAM position, the SJB sends voltage through circuits 161 (DG/OG) (RH headlamp) and 160 (DB/WH) (LH headlamp) to the low beam headlamps. Circuit 57 (BK) is the ground circuit for the headlamps.
