Overtemp Indicator

The overtemp indicator informs the driver of the following temperature related conditions in the vehicle. If the indicator is illuminated (not flashing), at least one of the following conditions exist:

If the indicator is flashing, the failsafe cooling feature is in Mode 2, which means the internal combustion engine shuts down shortly due to an unresolvable engine over temperature condition. The input to the cluster is through a communication network message from the PCM.
