Removal and Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the 5 bolts and the RH splash shield.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  3. Early build vehicles 

  4. Using the pulley bolt, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the coolant pump pulley.

  5. Remove the pin-type retainer, 2 bolts, shield and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  6. Late build vehicles 

  7. Using the hex feature, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the coolant pump pulley.

  8. Remove the 2 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  9. All vehicles 

  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
