Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Disconnect the breather tube and mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Remove the intake tube and air cleaner cover.

Remove the air cleaner assembly.

Remove the mount through bolt.
- To install, tighten to 115 N.m (85 lb-ft).
Remove the 1 retaining bolt and the 2 nuts for the mount and remove the mount.
- To install, tighten to 90 N.m (66 lb-ft) (vehicles built through 10/2005).
- To install, tighten to 80 N.m (59 lb-ft) (vehicles built after 10/2005).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
