Removal and Installation

NOTE: Driver side door shown, passenger side door similar.
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the door handle cup screw cover and the screw.
  3. If equipped, remove the 2 passenger assist handle covers, 2 screws, and the passenger assist handle.
    4. CAUTION: Use a shop towel or similar material between the tool and the rear door trim panel or damage to the rear door trim panel may occur.
  4. Release the window regulator switch plate, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the window regulator switch plate.
    5. NOTE: Long wheel base (LWB) vehicles are equipped with 5 screws.
  5. Remove the 2 screws and the rear door trim panel.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
