Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis and 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The wig-wag module provides voltage to the LH and RH high beams by splicing into circuits 1337 (VT/YE) and 1335 (YE/WH), respectively. Voltage for the wig-wag module is supplied through circuit 7 (LG/YE). Ground for the wig-wag module is supplied through circuit 57 (BK). When the wig-wag module is active, a ground signal is provided to the driver door module (DDM) through circuit 165 (TN/WH). When the DDM detects the wig-wag module is active, a message is sent over the communication network to the lighting control module (LCM) to disable the manual control of the high beams.
