Pinpoint Test F: The Turn Signal On Warning Chime Is Inoperative

- F1 CHECK THE LCM CONFIGURATION
- Verify the turn signal on warning chime is enabled.
- Is the turn signal warning chime enabled?
Yes : GO to F2.
No : ENABLE the turn signal on warning chime function. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
- F2 CHECK OPERATION OF THE TURN SIGNALS
- Key in ON position.
- Operate the turn signals
- Do the turn signal lamps operate correctly?
Yes : GO to F3.
No : REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the turn signal lamps.
- F3 CHECK FOR RECORDED ABS MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs)
- Check for recorded ABS DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
- Are any ABS module DTCs present?
Yes : REFER to VEHICLE DYNAMIC SYSTEMS to continue diagnosis of the ABS module.
No : GO to F4.
- F4 CHECK FOR CORRECT LCM OPERATION
- Disconnect all LCM connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all LCM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
Yes : INSTALL a new LCM. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
