Removal and Installation

All vehicles

Remove the rear door inside handle bolt cover.
Remove the upper rear door inside handle bolt.
Fusion and Milan
Remove the rear door handle screw cover.
Remove the rear door handle screw.
Remove the rear door inside handle bezel.
- Lift upward on the rear of the rear door inside handle bezel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
All vehicles
Remove the rear door trim panel upper screw.
MKZ
Remove the rear door trim panel lower screw.
All vehicles

NOTE: The back of the rear door trim panel shown in the illustration with the location of the rear door trim panel pin-type retainers indicated.

Remove the rear door trim panel.
- Pull the rear door trim panel outward to release the rear door trim panel pin-type retainers.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
