Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Mercury Montego, 2005 Ford Freestyle, and 2005 Ford Five Hundred. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When the transmission control module (TCM) detects the transmission in REVERSE, a signal is sent to the smart junction box (SJB) over the communication network. The SJB then provides voltage to the reversing lamps, the parking aid module, and the auto-dimming mirror through circuit 1367 (WH/YE).
