Transmission Fluid Pan: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the drain plug and allow the transmission fluid to drain.

  4. Install the drain plug.
    • Tighten to 29 Nm (21 lb-ft).

  6. Remove the transmission fluid pan.
    • Remove the bolts.
    • Using a suitable tool, separate the bead of sealer.

  8. Clean the silicone from the transmission fluid pan and transaxle case surfaces thoroughly with metal surface cleaner.
