Pinpoint Test C: The Integrated Control Panel Illumination Is Inoperative

  1. C1 CHECK THE ILLUMINATION INPUT TO THE INTEGRATED CONTROL PANEL 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Integrated Control Panel C2009.
    • Measure the voltage between the integrated control panel C2009 pin 2, circuit 1045 (DB/WH), harness side and ground, while the headlamp switch is in the PARK position and the instrument panel dimmer switch in the fully illuminated position.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to  C2.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. C2 CHECK GROUND TO THE INTEGRATED CONTROL PANEL 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Measure the resistance between the integrated control panel C2009 pin 1, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : INSTALL a new integrated control panel. REFER to AUDIO UNIT .
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
