Removal and Installation

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Set the parking brake.
Remove the instrument panel finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
Remove the lower steering column cover.
1. Remove the lower steering column cover bolts.
2. Position the parking brake release aside and remove the lower steering column cover.

Remove the bolts and the lower steering column reinforcement.

If equipped, position the transmission range indicator cable out of the way.
1. Disconnect the cable.
2. Remove the screw and position the cable aside.

Loosen the steering column assembly.

Remove the screws.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Pull the instrument cluster out from the instrument panel and disconnect the electrical connectors.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
