Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch harness connector. See Fig 1 .
  2. Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir bolts. See Fig 2 .
  3. Remove the brake lines from the brake master cylinder. See Fig 3 .
  4. Remove the dampening valve. See Fig 4 .
  5. Remove the brake master cylinder nuts. See Fig 5 . Remove the brake master cylinder and brake master cylinder reservoir.
  6. Loosen the brake master cylinder reservoir hose clamps. Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir hoses from the brake master cylinder. See Fig 6 .
  7. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Bleed (prime) master cylinder in or out of vehicle, install, then bleed entire system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
