Low Oil Pressure

The low oil pressure indicator is hardwired to the engine low oil pressure switch. The indicator will prove out with the ignition switch in the ON position. The low oil pressure switch is normally closed. As the engine oil pressure builds up above 41 kPa (6 psi), the switch opens, turning the low oil pressure indicator off.
