Removal & Installation

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove the plug from the high-pressure oil pump reservoir. See Fig 1. Using the Oil Suction Gun, draw the oil from the high-pressure oil pump reservoir. Disconnect Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) sensor electrical connector and remove EOT sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Fill high pressure oil pump reservoir with clean engine oil before installing plug.
