Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect the parking brake switch harness connector. See Fig 1 .
  3. Position the floor carpet aside.
  4. Remove the nuts and bolts from the parking brake control bracket. See Fig 2 .
  5. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake control and remove the parking brake control. See Figure .
    • Remove the front parking brake cable slug from the parking brake control.
    • Depress the parking brake cable end lock tabs and remove the front parking brake cable from the parking brake control.
  6. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
