Hydraulic Control Unit

The HCU modulates brake fluid pressure at each wheel with eight internal solenoids. A hydraulic pump motor circulates the brake fluid during anti-lock brake system cycling. The HCU is energized through the anti-lock brake control module by the hydraulic pump motor. The anti-lock brake control module is part of the EHCU and is located on left side of engine compartment, below master cylinder.
