Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
  2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

    Visual Inspection Chart 

    VISUAL INSPECTION

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Sticking or binding illumination dimmer
    • Blown battery junction box (BJB) Fuse:
      • F4 (15A)
    • Blown central junction box (CJB) Fuse:
      • F52 (10A)
      • F59 (7.5A)
    • Damaged wiring harness
    • Loose or corroded connectors
    • Damaged illumination dimmer
    • Damaged tail lamp relay
    • Damaged switch(es)
    • Damaged miniature bulb(s)
    • Damaged Joint Connector 2 shorting strips
    • Damaged Joint Connector 3 shorting strips
  3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  4. If the concern is not visually evident, determine the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart .
