Test K: Left Turn Indicator Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Place multifunction switch in left turn position. If outside left turn signal operates, go to next step. If outside left turn signal does not operate properly, repair turn signals as necessary. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C266a. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Place multifunction switch in left turn position. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 8 (Red/Green wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C266a. See Figure. If voltage alternates between zero and 10 volts, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. If voltage does not alternate between zero and 10 volts, repair open or short in Red/Green wire.
