Temperature Gauge

NOTE: Temperature gauge is part of fuel/temperature gauge assembly. Neither of these gauges is serviceable separately. If either gauge malfunctions, entire assembly must be replaced.
  1. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Using a jumper, connect coolant temperature gauge terminal "B" to battery voltage and coolant temperature gauge terminal "G" to ground. See Fig 1.
  3. Connect one lead of Rotunda Instrument Gauge Tester (014-R1063), or equivalent, to terminal "S" of coolant temperature gauge and other lead to terminal "G" of coolant temperature gauge.
  4. Adjust instrument gauge tester to resistance values shown in illustration. See Fig 2. If coolant gauge does not indicate as specified, replace temperature/fuel gauge assembly.
